Father Stephen's bio...

 

A native of Ft Worth,Texas - Fr. Stephen Jones has been serving as the Rector of Holy Comforter since September of 2004.  Previously he served as Curate and then Canon Associate at St. Vincent's Episcopal Cathedral in Bedford, TX.

In addition to his duties in the parish, he serves on the Commission on Ministry and the Executive Council for the Diocese of Ft Worth and is the former president of the Dallas/Ft Worth chapter of the Catholic Clerical Union (CCU).  He is also a priest of the Society of the Holy Cross (SSC). 

He graduated from Texas Christian University in 1995 with degrees in History and Religion Studies.  He earned his M.Div. from Brite Divinity School at TCU in 1998.  He completed a Masters in Sacred Theology at Nashotah House Seminary in 2001.

He has been married to his wife, Kerri, since 2000 and they have two children: Colman (6) and Dwyn (2).  In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, studying Martial Arts, watching football (especially the TCU Horned Frogs and the Dallas Cowboys)and eating good Mexican Food.
